Simplexity is an active supporter of The Cranfield Trust, which provides free consulting services to charities through a network of volunteers.

We are also active supporters of The Harpur Trust‘s leadership development programmes for local charities run in conjunction with The Cranfield Trust.

We provide volunteer mentors for UpRising, a charity which provides mentoring and support to young social entrepreneurs and leaders.

Our consultants act as volunteers for one of these if a suitable opportunity arises, or in some other way provide a return to the society in which they live.

Charities we have supported include:

  • Emmaus Village Carlton
An appreciative inquiry into the future of Emmaus Village Carlton, engaging Trustees, Staff, Volunteers, Companions and other local stakeholders, as an update to their strategic plan
  • Bedford Creative Arts
“We were lucky to have Martin’s support through the Cranfield Trust and Harpur Trust leadership program. Martin worked closely with myself, staff and trustees on developing a three-year strategy for the charity. He is an excellent facilitator, able to work with people at all levels. His support helped us consolidate strategic direction and priorities, and contributed to Bedford Creative Arts winning a successful tender.” Dawn Giles, CEO at Bedford Creative Arts
  • Central Sussex Citizens Advice Bureau
“Central Sussex CAB are facing a major change in funding which will drive a change in the way in which we work (largely, it is a change from grant-based funding to a contractual funding). We are concerned that all our staff and volunteers buy in to this change, understand what it implies, and are enthusiastic and committed in delivering it. We have also just gone through a merger between three bureaux, and we now have six Advice Centres. We want to make sure that everybody knows what we can offer within Central Sussex CAB.” Brief from  Susie McGowan, Change Manager, Central Sussex CAB
  • Citizen Advocacy Information & Training (CAIT)
“Martin and Clive, thank you so much for all your excellent planning and facilitation for CAIT on Saturday.  I thought the day went very well, given the considerable difficulties that the organisation is wrestling with.  People were more honest and open than usual, and I think some committee members have realised that they need to do some practical work to make CAIT into the kind of organisation they have in mind.” Sally Carr, CEO at CAIT
  • Luton Advice Network
“Just wanted to say a very big thank you for yesterday.  Everyone is very positive about it, and it did us a lot of good to have some time to think things through, a bit further ahead, and with some excellent guidance from you” Gillie Sharp, Luton Law Centre
  • Milton Keynes Women & Work Group
“Simplexity has certainly exceeded our expectations in terms of what we requested and has injected a positive energy into our project as we strive to achieve our goal of generating revenue from the IT suite and supporting resources that we have at our disposal.” Minesh Patel, Acorn House IT Centre
“Simplexity’s input has not only progressed the project that they were engaged for, but also the whole organisation. With this help, MK Women and Work Group will be moving forward with renewed vision and understanding.” Avril Francome, Head of Group
